This leading Australian business in the services industry is on the hunt for an experienced People Business Partner to be a strategic advisor and hands-on partner to our operations leadership in a specific region. This isn't just about HR; it's about deeply understanding their business, people, and unique culture to help achieve their ambitious goals.
The role:
Reporting to the Head of People Business Partnering based interstate, you'll be instrumental in shaping the employee experience across your regional remit. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Strategic Impact: Contributing to the people strategy for the Corporate Operations team, analysing data to identify trends, and providing data-driven recommendations to boost retention, engagement, and productivity. You'll also be a key change agent, supporting leadership through organisational transformations.
- Employee Relations: Serving as a trusted advisor on all employee relations matters, managing end-to-end case management for misconduct, and proactively educating our operations teams on employment legislation and award compliance.
- Performance & Development Champion: Coaching and developing State Managers, Regional Managers, and Store Managers on effective performance management, driving succession planning, and ensuring quarterly performance reviews are completed.
- Culture & Engagement Driver: Partnering closely with leadership to foster an engaged culture, driving engagement surveys, and continuously identifying opportunities to enhance the team's experience.
- Data & Programs Lead: Managing key people processes throughout the employee life cycle, including annual pay assessments, bonus processing, and providing insightful analysis on people metrics.
- Workers' Compensation Support: Collaborating with our National WHS Manager on corporate workers' compensation claims and return-to-work plans.
Essential Requirements & Behaviours:
- A Bachelor's degree or above in HR, Psychology, or a related field.
- Advanced understanding of Australian employment law, award interpretation, and disciplinary management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- High-level people management and conflict resolution skills, with a personable and approachable disposition.
- Strong reporting acumen and numeracy, including the ability to interpret and explain people reports and advanced Excel skills.
- Proven coaching and education skills, comfortable delivering feedback to diverse audiences and developing and delivering P&C training.
- Strong technology skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn various systems (Workday, Tanda, WorkVivo etc.).
- You'll be a proactive, personable, and highly skilled People Business Partner with a minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role within a multi - site environment.
